Avid MiniTracker Reader 1002

The Avid MiniTracker scanner reads all brand name 9 digit chips in the 125khz range. Battery included. 7" long, 2 3/8" wide, 1" thick. It is small enough to carry in your pocket. The Mini Tracker is configured to read and display any AVID or FECAVA coded radio frequency identification tags.

When not in use, the unit beeps every 3 minutes to warn that it is on.

This reader actually reads the 9-digit Avid chips, along with the ISO 15-digit chip. It’s easy to use and will make our travel to the EU much less stressful, knowing that we have a good reader.

Just What I Was Looking For

We use the Avid MiniTracker 1 extensively during our fall wildlife surveys and they work really well for scanning and Identifying PIT tagged animals.

As far as the purchasing experience, the sales reps were friendly and helpful. They company did a great job of packaging and shipping the Avid MiniTrackers, and I received the product relatively quickly and undamaged.
